I love to paint, it is my joy I am guided by the deities in which I paint
My journey as a artist started as a makeup artist at the age of 18, moving from makeup artistry I worked a boring office job that pushed me to take my makeup artist skills and on to paper.
Drawing inspiration form the book cover of Steppenwolf the idea came to me that if I could paint makeup on a face then I could pain a face on paper.
I started to draw faces, and flowers, and self-portraits of me my partner and my son. From there I stopped painting for several years.
It wasn’t until I purchased a painting from my teacher, Paul Heussenstamm a beautiful painting of the deity Quan Yin. I fell in love with the painting in my home.
He invited me to one of his workshops and since that moment I have never been able to put down the paint brush. My teachers’ paintings inspired me to see the beauty in divine deities and portray them in my art work. Starting first with mandalas and as I progressed I felt the divine calling to paint the beautiful deity’s.
